So why 2 Way Quad core ?

Total number of cores here are 20 or we can take standard recommendation of keeping 6 virtual machines per core.

By this calculation i.e. 40 Virtual Machines from the previous post

40/6=6.66 approx #7

So we need 7 processors. We have limited choices here.

Take 2 Way Dual Cores, 4 Nodes which will be 8 processors but remember this design is driven more by 2 GB memory requirement

As we cannot have more than 4GB per processor, just for in order to accommodate more VM’s, we have to increase the processors.
